The Grosse Pointe North Band & Orchestra students traveled to Nashville, TN this past weekend to perform in a national music festival, "Festivals of Music!" All three ensembles received a 1st place trophy in their respective division. The Concert Band and Full Orchestra received an "excellent" rating, and our Symphony Band members received a "superior" rating from the adjudicators. The Symphony Band also received the highest score of the entire festival, and was awarded the "William D. Revelli Award of Excellence." Along with doing some sightseeing on the trip, our music students also got to hear live performances of the Nashville Symphony and Grand Ole Opry.
