Sweet Tooth Science

By Sue Speirs

This multidisciplinary, scientific celebration is filled with sweetness and features “dessert” exhibits with poster and 60-second student presentations. Sweet Tooth Science is an annual meeting comprised of 13 exhibitors representing their research. General fields of study include anatomy, physiology, and pathology. STS 2015 is open to all members of Applied Medical Research with Clinical Investigations. What a fun learning celebration as evidenced through this uniquely sweet assessment of student understanding.

Musicians Grand In Tennessee

By Dave Cleveland, instrumental director

The Grosse Pointe North Band & Orchestra students traveled to Nashville, TN this past weekend to perform in a national music festival, "Festivals of Music!" All three ensembles received a 1st place trophy in their respective division. The Concert Band and Full Orchestra received an "excellent" rating, and our Symphony Band members received a "superior" rating from the adjudicators. The Symphony Band also received the highest score of the entire festival, and was awarded the "William D. Revelli Award of Excellence." Along with doing some sightseeing on the trip, our music students also got to hear live performances of the Nashville Symphony and Grand Ole Opry.
